*Inspired by the song "Junkyard Jewel," co-written by New York City songwriters and performers Maya Azucena and Christian Ver Halen, this DVD illustrates Sparky's life on the streets of New York City before she was rescued from Death Row at a New York City dog pound by Adopt-A-Dog.  The DVD was filmed on location in the junkyards near Citi Field in Flushing, Queens, as well as around Sparky's home in Stamford, CT, where she now enjoys the good life sniffing the flowers, rolling in the grass, and romping with her best friend Macy and secret boyfriend Max.  Sparky certainly is a "Junkyard Jewel," a spotted dog that nobody wanted but a dog with an inner strength, hidden beauty, and huge heart.
Note:  The dogs shown midway through the video were some of the dogs waiting to be adopted at the Adopt-A-Dog kennel when this DVD was filmed.
