Hi Azaan!

If you mean can I draw a picture of Maggie, well, actually I can’t because I’m a terrible artist!  I can’t draw at all! In my books, I’m the author (I write the words, the story), but someone else does the pictures (the illustrator), although all the drawings are my ideas. I just can’t draw them!  So I work with the illustrator, who makes great drawings of Sparky, Dexter, Speedy and Maggie, too!

We got Speedy way back in 1997 at the Westchester (NY) Reptile Show in White Plains, NY.  She was about five years old when we got her.  We actually got Speedy before we adopted Sparky (we adopted Sparky in 1999).  I’ll tell you a little secret about Speedy.  She used to push Sparky around!!   Sometimes, if Sparky was laying on the floor, Speedy would come up and keep bumping into to Sparky (on purpose!) until Sparky got up and moved away!  Speedy could be a bossy little tortoise!

Well, if you mean how did feel to write books about my dogs Sparky and Dexter, it makes me feel great!  It’s a wonderful feeling to make something that you created yourself.  And it also makes me feel great when kids say they like the Sparky and Dexter books.  That’s one of the main reasons why I wrote the books – to get kids like you more interested in reading and writing.

What is Dexter favorite movie just want to see

That’s another tough question!  Dexter really doesn’t watch TV, but if he did, I’m sure his favorite movie would include lots of dogs and lots of dog biscuits.  He loves his doggie biscuits!!

whats Dexter’s favorite color

Hi Jordyn!

That’s a tough question because supposedly dogs are sort of color-blind, and they see only shades of certain colors.  I’ve also heard that dogs only see in black and white, so I really don’t know if Dexter has a favorite color.   But I do know that he LOVES dog biscuits, so whatever color his biscuits are, that’s probably his favorite color!!

Thank you for your kind words about Sparky and Speedy.  They both had wonderful lives.  Sparky lived to be 13 years old, and Speedy lived almost 34 years!!  I have so many fun memories of them, so even though it’s sad they’re not with us anymore, when I think about Sparky and Speedy it always puts a smile on my face!

Thank you so much!  Dexter and I took a nice walk in the park this morning, and now we are getting ready for a school visit on Friday in Ansonia at Mead School, and then we have three school visits next week! So, we’ll be very busy.  But it’s supposed to be nice weather, so Dexter will enjoy hanging out in the backyard, too, this weekend!
