Thank you for your very nice words about Sparky and Speedy.  We’re sad that they passed away, but they both lived wonderful lives.  Speedy the tortoise actually lived almost 34 years!    Dexter and I are looking forward to visiting your school next week!

I’m so happy that you like Sparky and Dexter, and thank you for your kind words about Sparky.  Yes, it is very sad that Sparky passed away, but she lived a wonderful life!  I have so many great memories of Sparky, so whenever I think about her, it always puts a smile on my face.

Dexter and I are really looking forward to visiting your school.  Can’t wait to meet you and all of your classmates!

Thank you so much for your kind words about Dexter and Sparky, and me, too! So happy that you like the books I’ve written about my doggies. I loved to read when I was a kid (I still do), and I hope that my books get kids like you more interested in reading and writing.  My dogs Dexter and Sparky are my inspirations for my books, and it’s great when Dexter gets to meet all of the kids.  He loves visiting the schools, and Sparky did, too!

I tried to make Dexter and Sparky’s Web site fun for kids, so I’m so happy you like it!  And I apologize for taking a couple of days to answer your message, but I’m on vacation in Italy!!  We didn’t bring Dexter with us, but a very nice neighbor is taking care of him.
